Chilliwack & Vedder Watersheds: Open for angling July 1, 2015. Should prove to be a banner season as the Fraser is enjoying great returns of Chinook and Rainbows. It must be hatchery stock for retention, single barbless rules apply.

Chehalis: Opened for Chinook and Steelhead on June 1, 2015. They are there now! Best baits are roe, shrimp, worms also jigs and spinners. Water conditions are high.

Fraser River is closed to angling for Salmonoids until further notice. Sturgeon are plentiful now, use dew worms, roe, oolichons and lamprey eels.

Straight of Juan de Fuca & Westcoast: Chinook are just starting now! 5 year fish headed for the Columbia are of good size this year. Use cut plug Herring according to Bait Ball  depths, plugs, army truck hoochies and white apex Halibut are migrating now, know your tidal regulations! Fish slack tides.

All local and interiors lakes are producing good numbers of Trout. Baits should be small blood worms and Chironomids are best angle in sync with lunar tables, this determines hatches that trigger bites!

That’s all for now, thanks!
