• It has been a very busy time this month at the range with rentals and construction projects.
  • We had Pest Detective come in to spray for spiders and there were webs everywhere especially over cameras and outdoor lights. We will call them back in a month to do a touch up of areas that we have seen new spider activity. We have knocked down many wasp hives and birds nest from the outdoor ranges.
  • A couple of Sunday nights ago, we had a 4 ft x 4ft fire burning in the burn pile down by range 4 and the fire truck showed up. We had the John Deere tractor on site and water available, but there are new fire regulations and no fires are allowed in Abbotsford within 150 ft of any structures. They gave us a warning instead of a $250 fine and told us that all fires on site must be in accordance with the regulations (I guess that means that the fire pit by the clubhouse is NOT to be used) We emailed the BOD as we have no way to dispose of shot up target backers (our garbage co will not take them in the current bins) and Rob has contacted a disposal bin co to get a quote for a bin just for wood.
  • Arlyss and his machine have placed lock blocks on the fence line in the archery range. They also put in more drainage in range 3 parking lot to prevent the “lake” we get there during rainy season. They are also going to look at the septic field by range 4 as there is barrier showing through the sand and all of the vents have been removed by people walking around on the mound. This possibly needs to be fenced to keep adventurous people off this. They are also going to try to find the top of the septic tank at the modular as there is a smell coming inside and it has been 13 years since it has been pumped They opened it up and have we had it pumped out as it was full.
  • The gardeners have partially done the area near the fence along the road. They told us that they are waiting for the plants to come in and then will come and complete it and will level out the grass area there and reseed it.
  • Mid Valley Fencing put in a gate so that a machine can gain access to the area between the fence and range 2 shooting shed.
  • Next week we have the cleaning company coming to do the annual thorough clean of the indoor range.
  • General maintenance and cleaning both on ranges and indoor the building.
  • We will need a work bee crew and coordinator to build target backers in June as we have rentals who are buying 16 at a time and with our range usage increasing we are going through more Early June we will order materials to build 500.
  • Weekly lawn mowing and weedeating and spraying roundup when needed.
