In 2013 the Club hosted 31 students, 40 in 2014 and in 2015, 45. Continuing interest and growth in IPSC is encouraging as the game grows bigger every year.

Another crew of 5 keen students and the usual support not only from AFGC but the assistant helper, Dean M. Without his, and the club’s support, IPSC BC growth would not be as great.

Interesting group w/a plethora of guns; 2 Beretta 92FS, 1 Glock 17, 1 SW M&P and a Sig226. All right handers and not one who reloaded. There is a keener in the group and I suspect he will follow the rest of us down the rabbit hole. Even had a Van Isl participant make the trek across the pond to join us.

Remember, these classes also certify the students for holster use anywhere holsters are used. That is a great testament to the quality and trust the IPSC TC provides.

The upside of indoor courses means weather doesn’t cause any problems. AFGC is THE premiere teaching venue in Metro Van and probably BC.

Another outstanding group of students who showed they all had relatively deep backgrounds in firearms. We were pleased at their success and their attention to safety. It was obvious this group got it that the TC first priority is SAFETY while learning to shoot a wide variety of skills; freestyle, strong hand, weak hand, reloads, kneeling, prone, movement and more that students may encounter in matches.

It is now up to them to attend not only IPSC matches but also steel, PPC, IDPA, etc. to improve on those skills learned in the class. Rob Engh can hone some of those skills at his Skills & Drills sessions as well.

Metro Van has about 8 qualifiers this year making lots of opportunities to complete TC requirements. The next magic is how to get more people through a match in a day and/or weekend.

There has been interest shown in my Intermediate/Advanced Class which would cover an entire weekend. If you or any of your shooting friends are interested, drop me a note and I will put you on file to notify as that develops.

You can join this fast growing dynamic shooting sport by being a class graduate. Classes and more information can be found at  http://mdgardner.com/extreme-pistol.htm#SCHED

I look forward to having you involved.
