The monthly PPC match held on October 2 with a reduced number of shooters, primarily due to some of our regular shooters involved in the annual charity motorcycle toy run. The weather was perfect for shooting and a last chance to hone our skills in preparation for the 40th Annual Vancouver Island PPC Championships held on the Thanksgiving weekend.
The Island Championships were attended by competitors from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Washington State. 12 of our regular PPC shooters attended the Island Championships and represented our club extremely well.
Our Abbotsford Fish & Game PPC club shooters gathered a total of 37 medals with 13 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals in the individual competitions as well as 3 gold and 1 silver medals in the team competitions.
As our 2016 season for competitive competitions draws to a close and the rainy winter days approach we have only two more monthly matches on the first Sundays of November and December. The December match will be our final match of the 2016 season with our regular PPC courses of fire plus the annual Christmas turkey shoot and fun matches to wrap up a very successful year.
