LOCAL RIVERS

Fraser River: – (non-tidal) is up and stained as June gave us so much rain! But still giving Sturgeon anglers great days! Use pike minnows; oolichons; lamprey eels; salmon parts and worms.

Vedder/Chilliwack: July 1st – will fully open to both – drift with bait and fly. Upper and lower reaches to retention of Chinook salmon and trout.

Chehalis: Open for Chinook and Steelhead. See BC Rey’s for limits.

Harrison: Still producing Cutthroat and Bull trout. Best to use small fly patterns that resemble minnows; roe; shrimp and single egg is always a great bet! Crocodiles and Hildebrandt spoons!

Cultus Lake: doing well with Cutthroat and Bull trout.

Capilano: is once again giving up good numbers of Coho – use baits such as roe sacks; single eggs and 4” wide perch coloured buzz bombs!

Local Lakes: All producing well for Rainbows and Cutthroat.

Sasquatch Park Lakes = trout! (Hicks, Deer, Harrison west, Grace, Wolf, Weaver, Francis, Eel, Wood, Look-out and Sunrise)

Jones Lake great for Rainbows and Cutthroat.

INTERIOR LAKES

Are reporting great fishing everywhere – match the hatch or use krill; single eggs or worms. They are also producing well as summer has arrived! Kawkawa still giving up Kokanee – fish at depth of 38 – 44’.

Have a great summer and Happy Canada Day! as I will be trying my new Beretta!
