Local Rivers

Fraser River: – (non-tidal) now CLOSED to Chum! Only Chinook, Coho, Steelhead, Trout and Sturgeon are open! – (tidal) same as the non-tidal!

Vedder/Chilliwack: Water-sheds are open for all salmonids, trout – still a 4 fish limit. 1 Chum, 1 Chinook over 62cm, all Coho must be hatchery. The river has come up and is full of fish! Best tactics are twitching and float fishing. Roe; 3/8oz jigs are also hot! You can call me for information on jig size and colours!

Harrison: Closed to Chum retention as well as Chinook! Sturgeon; Trout; Coho and Steelhead are open with Sturgeon being the exception – Catch and Release ONLY!

Dewdney Slough & Inch Creek: Starting to really produce Coho.

Stave River: Has become extremely good since the rain but very crowded! Bait is still the best option – roe, shrimp and worms! Dress your jigs with deli shrimp and get ready to set the hook!

Pitt River: is still the lower hot spot – bait BAN in effect! Fly’s and jigs or spoons and spinners are the ticket.

Local Lakes

Cultus Lake as always producing hours of enjoyment!

Sasquatch Park lakes are slowing down, still the odd Cutty and large Dolly Varden!

Interior Lakes

Still very fishable at lower elevations!

Don’t forget to take a kid fishing this year! Be safe and water wise!
