The Abbotsford Fish and Game Pistol Subclub is extending an invitation to any member interested in joining us in our pistol shooting league this year.

WIPL is a fun activity whose participation includes a variety of pistols shooters from various clubs – currently all in BC (the international aspect was related to when Custer in the US participated).  The matches follow ISSF Rules and our WIPL Shooting Schedule moves us (i.e. the lower mainland shooters) around between three clubs (Port Coquitlam, Abbotsford and Langley) as provided in link below.

Our next match is Sunday, Oct 29 in Abbotsford at 9 am at the Abbotsford Fish and Game Club.

Don’t have a centre-fire pistol?

The beauty is – all you need is a 22 cal pistol to shoot all the events in any match – and most have that. It is one-handed bullseye pistol shooting – but that just increases the challenge! Come out and try it! We even have dedicated ISSF practice sessions for you to try things out – no great shooting skills needed to come out and get started! If I can do it – you can!

The fees are currently set as per last year’s rates (very inexpensive too as we all know) and frankly are due for a re-negotiation by the involved clubs – a somewhat involved process. Until changes are made – we will collect the fees as stated in the above linked document. HOWEVER – these fees are subject to potential revision and MAY change sometime during the season. Be aware that revised fees may be introduced if club charges increase (in which case full season payments will be prorated) – however we are not in a position to predict what they might be at the present time.

Please RSVP to wipl@shaw.ca if you are planning to come out and participate – we look forward to seeing you on the range!
