The PPC Sub Club was honoured to co-sponsor the BC Sheriff Shooting Association Championships held the last weekend of May and despite completing the individual competition on the Saturday which was  the wettest day of the year and standing water on the range, the weather cleared up nicely for the skills competition held on the Sunday. The competition had a good turnout of BC Sheriff Officers from around BC and Alberta along with guest competitors from outside law enforcement agencies. The winner of the individual competition for Sheriff Officers resulted in a tie score and had to be settled on X count. Both of these officers are regular competitors in our monthly PPC matches held on the first Sunday of the month.

The monthly PPC match held on June 5 had 11 shooters competing with the match winner scoring 1500 out of 1500 with the application of the handicap adjustment used for these competitions.

With the warm weather in May and the expected warm weather during the summer, we expect an increase in the number of shooters each month.

The shooters are practicing in preparation for the summer shooting competitions which include a CPCA registered match on the first Sunday in August, the Washington State Championships and Northwest Regional Championships in Richland Washington and the wind up match for the year being the Vancouver Island PPC Championships held in Victoria on Thanksgiving weekend in October.

Keep safe out there on and off of the range.
