1) Local Rivers: Non-tidal portion of Fraser River closed until further notice for salmonids. Sturgeon fishing is exempt. River is still big and dirty but producing. Chinook opening has been delayed until August 15th.

2) Vedder opens again Friday July 1st. River is in prime shape, Chinook should be in all the traditional runs. Now one fish over 63cm per day limit of one. Trout and Whitefish will be aggressive now, bait is best bet or try spoons and spinners, also corkies dressed with wool.

3) Interior Lakes were slow at the end of June due to cold conditions but have since picked again. Traditional flies are chrionomids and leeches also use shrimp patterns.

4) Local lakes still producing good numbers of rainbows, Kokanee, cutthroat, pike, minnow and some bass. For further information contact me.

5) Interior lakes warming up now but angle according to the conditions barometric; water temperature; and insect hatches all need to be looked at.

Have a great summer as we will be on the other big pond where the crustaceans look like crawfish and the tuna are gear busters. Tight lines and straight shooting!
