2018-2019 Board of Directors Nominations
Happy New Year to all our members, we hope to make 2018 our best year ever with even more upgrades and improvements to the Club to benefit all our members.
The volunteer Board of Director’s works very hard throughout the year to make sure all aspects of Club activities and sub-club events are handled in a professional and smooth manner.
This year at our AGM in March we have openings for up to 7 two-year Director positions as well as all Executive positions.
The position of Director requires the member to attend meeting once per month and to represent the membership at large and bring their concerns and ideas to the Board. Directors may also be expected to chair committees as needed by the President and the BOD.
According to the AFGC bylaws in order to qualify to be a Director nominees must be a member in good standing for at least the last five (5) consecutive years. Current Board of Directors are exempt from the 5 year requirement. All nominations require a seconder and the nominee must be present at the meeting or have provided written acceptance of their nomination to the nomination committee or Board of Directors prior to the meeting.
