Well, summer is over and we are now back into the swing of the fall activities at AFGC.
Dave installed “red and green” shooting lights and a PA system in the outdoor range to Canadian standards for safety. We painted all the shooting tables in the outdoor range.
Trap houses have been dug out and a trench dug between them and the trap clubouse. The trap houses were watersealed and rewired back to the clubhouse. Thanks Ron Edwards for your help.
The front road side of the AFGC property was fenced and two rolling gates were installed to improve our security.
We had a busy summer with all the grounds maintenance taking up a lot of our time.
Dave and our oldest son, Phil, laid ceramic tiles in the entry way to the club.
This fall the sediment pond in the creek was been cleaned out again. A small backhoe and two track machines were rented to clean out the entire creekbed down to the culvert. This time a second pond was also made to keep the silt from filling up the creekbed again.
he front wall in the indoor shooting area was replaced at a work bee.
We have been very busy signing up a lot of new members–our club is really growing fast!!
We are planning a Christmas party for the kids–Santa is coming and we will have a hay ride on December 9 (look on the special events page)
Come out to a General meeting- the first Thursday of the month and get involved!!
