Well, we have begun another year at AFGC. Last year, 2007-2008, was a record year at the club. We doubled our membership in one year and had a very large turn out at the Annual Meeting in March. It has been very busy this past month with new members signing up and old members renewing for another year of activity at the club. It is a little more time consuming getting your membership this year due to the photos and printing out of the new cards–Thanks for all of your patience. Next year will be less painful for those renewing. There will be a date decal to put on your card for each year. It has been good to meet so many new people and to see some of the new people getting involved in the various clubs and activities at AFGC. Sales of memberships are done on Wednesday from 10am-9pm and Saturdays from 10am-5pm. Please call ahead for appointments so no one has to wait too long. We are purchasing a container from Big Blue Box in the near future to house our new generator and for storing our tables and chairs in. The club is also purchasing a new John Deere tractor to replace the old Leland tractor that we currently have. It will be a great asset to the club with pallet forks and a large bucket to move things around on the shooting range. With committees investigating indoor range renovations and outdoor range renovations, the executive decided that a bigger and more powerful come out for a day with your gun or bow and bring your friends and family to enjoy the sport with you.
