The 2015 shooting season came to a close with our turkey match held on the first Sunday of December with 13 shooters attending, including one shooter from Montreal, who is well known to our members, and was in town visiting family for the holiday season. This match brings our 32nd year of continuous monthly PPC matches. It has been a very successful year for PPC shooting with our regular shooters showing well in Canadian and international competition.
The first match of 2016 was a good start to our 33rd consecutive year of PPC participation and we look forward to another year where our participants continue to improve their skills and represent our club in the highest level of competition and sportsmanship.
Our shooting schedule for 2016 will continue to hold practice/training matches the first Sunday of each month, with the exception of May and August which are scheduled for nationally registered competitions under the Canadian Police Combat Association umbrella. Abbotsford club members, and members from other clubs are welcome to attend our monthly matches to observe or participate in our course of fire. For information on the equipment required to participate please contact me at rsorsdahl@shaw.ca or (604) 637-3945.
The best in 2016 to all, regardless of your chosen discipline of participation. Good shooting and stay safe out there on an off of the range.
In 2016 and should any member be interested in competing, or just observing, please feel free to drop by in the first Sunday of each month.
Good shooting and stay safe out there, on an off the range.
