It’s been a quiet fall with amazingly good weather for the most part. The ranges are seeing good usage. We met with our consultants to discuss the road closure/easement that runs through our property and have received a draft letter from them that will be sent to the city, hopefully we can get this moved along quickly now and plan for the work to start on the clubhouse in the new year.
It’s that time of the year to start working on the budget, if you have something you’d like considered for the budget please pass it along.

Good day.
I have discussed this suggestion briefly with our caretakers…
I requested at least one pair of red/green lights on each range facing the targets on the other side of the enclosure. To often I find myself out putting up targets and questioning if I turned the light/s to green (if alone) or even worse someone else turned them to red !
Yes I was told no one would/should ever shoot while someone is out there but accidents can happen and a simple reminder red/green would be resusring to everyone while out ” on ” the range/s.
This is particularly important on the 100 yard range where a person can be out of sight…

Instead of discarding the 2x2s along with the target backers at the end of their use, can we keep the screws and 2x2s still in good shape (not shot or snapped)? The reason we keep the 2×2 is that steel target hangers such as this (https://www.drummondshooting.ca/product/post-topper-target-hanger-2×2/) and this (https://www.rangerabbit.com/collections/bases-and-stands/products/2×4-top-bracket-steel-challenge) use 2×2 and members can use the ones up-cycled from the old target backers instead of bring their own 2x2s. We don’t have to keep all the 2x2s, maybe 6-10 per range?
