Well, as quiet as March was, April sure made up for it with not one, but two Monday evenings requiring us to shoot two lines!

The 1st Laity View Scouts were out April 14th for their annual evening at the .22 Club. This is always a great night and I look forward to this each year. Thank you to the Scout Leaders who always lend a hand.

Last Monday was a complete surprise however, with 14 shooters arriving early and ready to go for the safety briefing at 7. Thank you so much for everyone being on time and enthusiastically participating in the briefing! Makes things go so much easier.

If you have friends who have never shot before, a reminder that you do not require a license to shoot at the .22 Club as it is a managed range. I love helping out new shooters and always look forward to introducing one of the many shooting sports to folks.

Reminders:

  • The only entrance to Range 1 is around the side across from the archery range. Look for the sign in the parking lot.
  • There will be no club running on any holiday Mondays
  • We welcome anyone interested in shooting, although we do ask that parents initially provide 1:1 supervision for anyone under 10 years old.
  • The mandatory safety briefing starts sharply at 7pm.
  • You do not require your PAL, as you can shoot under our supervision, so if you have friends interested in giving it a try, bring them along.
  • We provide everything including eye and ear protection for all participants.
  • Drop-in fees are $5 for AFGC Members and $10 for non-members.

Looking forward to seeing all of you out Monday nights!
