In November, we had the Aboriginal Sport, Recreation and Physical Activities Partners Council join us for a Monday evening shoot. This group joins us at least once a year, and will be again with us this month. We had 13 attendees from their group.
The .22 Club would like to request budgetary funding for the purchase of four .22 caliber left landed target rifles for next year. These would be used by both right and left handed shooters, who have a dominant left eye. It appears from internet searches that we will have to buy the rifles, then have the target sights mounted on them. When the time comes, we would put out a RFQ for the four rifles complete to various Canadian dealers. I would like to request a budget of $3000 for this acquisition.
Also, a reminder we have a lot of 22 long rifle ammo in Winchester available for sale, 222 and 555, etc. at $.05 per round, no tax. The Winchester ammo do not agree with our target rifles, however they are no problem for many others. Canadian Tire price for a 555 is $39.99, or about $.08 per round, taxes included. Also, another reminder – if you are coming out to shoot on a Monday evening, be sure to arrive before 7:00 PM. We cannot accommodate “drop-ins” that arrive after 7:00 PM.
