Winter has hit with all the outflow winds and shooting at the range has been busy even though it is difficult at times to keep the targets from blowing over.

We had new guest fee signs and bear aware signs made and they are all installed.

Showed the appraiser around the facility so he could complete an appraisal for the club.

The fence at the club took a real beating in the wind and most of the posts are bent over to the ground and the fence is laying down. A large tree went over the fence at the far end of the property and took out two sections of fencing. We met with the insurance adjustor to give her a statement of what we had observed with regards to the fence damage. We got a quote for repair of the fence from Mid Valley Fencing and they are beginning the tear out of the old fence and cementing in new posts the end of this week. They are hoping to complete the job early next week. We removed all signage from the old fence.

Makeup Air Unit fan quit working and there was no heat in the indoor range. Tim from Dickies was here to repair it and the one motor was fried and it needed to be replaced. It was cheaper to buy a new motor than to rewind the old one so they purchased a new one and installed it. There is now heat when shooting indoors.

Co-ordinated various rentals throughout the month.

We cleaned the leaves out of the gutters and have been cleaning up the downed branches from the wind storm.

Purchased more cleaning supplies and light bulbs.

Regular building maintenance and cleaning. Outdoor range cleaning and brass bins emptied.

We are currently looking for a member who is interested in doing paid holiday relief for the caretaker job. Contact us at caretaker@afgc.ca.
