Fraser River Non Tidal:
Sea-run Cutthroats are showing up in good numbers! Angle for them near creek mouths or slack water, either on bottom or float fishing are your best bets. Use Single Eggs or worms, two fish per day limit over 30 cm, hatchery retention only.
Sturgeon fishing in the Fraser is fair right now due to the low and cold water conditions. Best bets are Chum Roe, Lamprey Eels, Ditch Eels, Oolichons & Dew Worms.
Steelhead are showing up in the Fraser just now, Bar Rigs with Spin Glows are recommended.
Vedder / Chilliwack Rivers:
They are producing fresh fish each tide change. December’s fish have moved up river now, use small baits in clear water and drop down in leader size.
The Boxing Day Derby was won by Brandon Eddy with 15.34 lbs. Second place went to Shawn French, 9.77 lbs. Third place was Dan Ryan with 8.68 lbs, Fourth place Brandon Brown, 8.21 lbs., Devin Noel came in 5th with 7.82 lbs and rounding out the top six was Ryder Gienow with 7.11 lbs. Congratulations to all!
Interior Lakes
The lakes are about to start but watch ice conditions, your best baits are Meal Worms, Salmon Eggs and Krill.
Local Lakes
Local Lakes are still ice free.
