Course Description
Vehicles are the one of the most common features of the modern operating environment. They can contain serious threats or provide life-saving cover. High risk vehicle stops are a fact of life for the law-enforcement professional. Many times officers aren’t aware the interaction is “high-risk” until fully engaged. In a military context, vehicles present a wide variety of options and advantages in the operating environment. It’s critical in any environment to understand as much about vehicles and vehicular-based interactions as possible.
Day one will feature a knowledge packed day of exploration and live fire scenarios. Day two will bring all the skills and knowledge into the Simunition® world. Similar scenarios as day one will be executed using actors including many “shoot, don’t shoot” situations.
This is a fast paced 2-day course designed to reinforce everything you know about high risk vehicle stops and operating in, out and around vehicles. There will be 4 vehicles on the range and opportunities to perform many drills not normally offered anywhere else. Don’t miss out.
NOTES & DISCLAIMER
For day one, bring a pistol, 350 rounds of ammunition, a holster and magazine carriers.
For day two, sim pistols will be provided. Bring sim if you have it available, there will be some on site for purchase. Cost is $40 per box of 50. Budget an extra $40.00 to $60.00 for Sim.
AFGC’s Simunition(R) pistols are Glock 17T’s. Bring a Glock Model 17 holster if you have one. If you have Glock 9mm or 40 cal magazines please bring them.
Safety Policies
Our usual safety policies will be in effect: The Glock 17T’s that AFGC provides will NOT chamber a conventional 9mm round. But they are physically identical to the normal model 17. Safety is our first concern above all else. No live firearms or conventional ammunition will be allowed on the range on day two.
