This has been a summer to never forget- with the hot dry weather and the water leak and subsequent insurance claim for the modular –so far we have been displaced for over 50 days and counting The most frustrating part is the lack of internet and cell phone coverage inside the fifth wheel in the club parking lot.

A lot of our summer we have been working with the insurance and flood restoration people and sub contractors to let them in to do estimates and work on the modular.

Cleaned up ranges, changed light bulbs replaced target backers, cleaned up steel and shot gun shells from all ranges.

We ordered 4 smaller convex mirrors and mounted them on the two gates to replace the larger ones which only lasted a couple of winters with the wind.

We moved all of the caretakers cleaning products from the room by the mens washroom where the deep freeze is to the storage room by the women’s washroom so that the new gun safe can be put in the former room. We also moved all the extra eye protection and respirators into the storage container.

Sprayed roundup and mowed and weedeated many times this summer We have been watering the section of grass by the front of range 2 as people were coming out of the range to smoke and were throwing butts on the tinder dry grass that was there before we started to water.

A number of members have showed up both on Wednesday and on this Friday to shoot on range 2 as it says on the website calendar that it is open 8am to dusk in one spot and then in another spot below it does say that at 4pm it is closed but they looked at the first time range 2 is mentioned and came out on both of these days to discover that the range was closed. Could we possibly change this to avoid confusion for our members.

During the summer we had a grass fire on range 2 and the fire extinguisher on range 2 was emptied so we had to go to Elite Fire Protection to have it recharged.

After living in the fifth wheel for the whole summer, we are really tired of listening to the recording which announcing range 2 closing for the evening. If we knew where the connection to it was, it would be history. Its about time this got changed-none of our members need to be told four times what to do!

Tonight we noticed that the tripod which is under the front of our fifth wheel has been hit and bent.

Thanks,
