Local Rivers
Fraser River – (non-tidal): conditions are low and clear! The Sturgeon are aggressive as salmonid carcass’s are few: use traditional baits like roe balls; salmon pieces; pike minnow are all good choices.
Tidal portion of the Fraser: nothing much going on below Mission.
Vedder/Chilliwack: Low and clear again -lots of nice water! This years derby was at best dismal – only 10 fish were weighed in at Tractor Grease. Winning fish was 12.6 lbs by Trevor Henderson. The answer to this dilemma is to put more fish back into the watershed!
Chehalis: is really tough right now; conditions are very low and clear – but if you persevere, endure the cold and use bait you will hook a fish! Roe sacks and shrimp are best bait.
Interior Lakes
Have now become safe and the Rainbows are plentiful. Not a lot of information right now.
Happy New Year! See you in February at the Game Supper… lots of great prizes to be had.
