This course was a bit different as it was held over 2 consecutive weekends. Club activity and Valentine’s Day dictated this schedule.

There were 4 shooters in the class using a CZ SP01, 1 Glock in .40SW, the other in 9mm Luger but w/b Standard as he had added some accessories not allowed in Prod and one shooter, two guns; first week an HK something or other and last day a Para .45 ACP needing some lube;)

All right handers and one who reloaded but he was a returning member. Not one was an Abby member and, I suspect, only due to the waiting list.

Dean M helped both days and George P from Hope helped on the last Sat. George is working towards becoming certified as a TCI and wanted to refresh the material he will be teaching. With these helpers and great support from the Club, IPSC membership and activity continues to grow.

Remember, these classes also certify the students for holster use anywhere holsters are used. That is a great testament to the quality and trust the IPSC TC provides.

It was obvious this group got it that the TC first priority is SAFETY while learning to shoot a wide variety of skills; freestyle, strong hand, weak hand, reloads, kneeling, prone, movement and more that students may encounter in matches.

It is now up to them to attend not only IPSC matches but also steel, PPC, IDPA, etc. to improve on those skills learned in the class. Rob Engh can hone some of those skills at his Skills & Drills sessions as well.

Metro Van has 8 qualifiers this year making lots of opportunities to complete TC requirements. The first match is already full and 5 more are moving rapidly towards the same. Be certain to get your entry in quickly as filling up fast is typical of Metro Van matches. You can always travel outside Metro Van and get a broader experience in matches as well as meeting new shooters.

Two classes are scheduled for Mar; 05/06 and 12/13. Still lots of time to stop saying, “I really want to shoot IPSC and take the course” and ACTUALLY sign up to prove it:))

You can join this fast growing dynamic shooting sport by being a class graduate. Classes and more information can be found at http://mdgardner.com/extreme-pistol.htm#SCHED

I look forward to having you involved.
