The latest round of gun bans from the Liberal Government has been devastating for IPSC. After the handgun ban, we had been focused on growing the PCC (Pistol Calibre Carbine) Division of the sport, but now that has been completely neutered. The only form of carbines left would be using pistol conversion kits. Almost all of the PCC matches in the Province have been cancelled for the 2025 year. This also includes practice for any competitors who shoot outside of Canada.

Hopefully this is just another bump in the road where we can look forward to having these bans repealed in the future and continue participating in one of the safest sports on the planet.

IPSC Practices will continue on in the new year with indoor practices on Sundays. We are also working hard organizing the summer match for next year. Have a Merry Christmas and don’t forget to spend all of your $4.51 GST rebate on ammo!

Sincerely,
Geoff Fraser
