Local Rivers:
Fraser River: Tidal & Non Tidal: not many are out fishing the Fraser due to Covid. The few guides that are have told me of a few steelhead hookups below the mouth of the Vedder; as well as the outflow of the Nicomen. The Sturgeon are still giving some good action from Mission up to the Harrison. For the Steelhead fish water like the beaches above the boat launch at Island 22. Use roe sacks, ghost shrimp and spin glows concentrating on runs 3’ to 4’ deep that are slower than the main flow – they are lazy fish and a great change up is a colorado blade!
Chilliwack/Vedder: is now starting to show the first of the seasons runs, best baits are medium sized (quarter size) roe sacks or egg sacks – shrimp ‘pink’ rubber worms – the choice of guides are good old jensen eggs and white wool.

Local Lakes:
Not much going on yet!!
Interior Lakes:
Season just getting started! Not much information yet. However ice is approaching 4” thick everywhere in the higher elevations and this is a minimum recommended thickness for ice fishing. Also check your regulations for changes like bait bans.
Happy New Year, Cheers to 2021!! Tight lines everyone!
