The 2025 shooting season is now in the books and we have our first match for 2026 under our belts as well, concluding our 43rd year of holding PPC competitions at Abbotsford F&G. For starting the 44th year, our January CPCA sanctioned match was held on January 4th on range 3 with 8 shooters attending, including our sub club range officer, despite the substantial throughout the day.

Sanctioned PPC matches are held the first Sunday of every month in 2026, with the exception of April and December, which are our Easter and Christmas Turkey fun matches.

The PPC courses of fire concentrate on the development of accuracy under various time restrictions, distances, up to 50 yards/meters, and shooting positions and have been shown to improve scores in more movement oriented disciplines. All members are urged to stop by range 3 on the first Sunday of the month and watch and or shoot along with us to see if you think it might help your scores in your chosen disciplines.

Should you want to know more about equipment/firearms needed, or other questions about PPC, please feel free to contact me directly by phone (604) 637- 3945 or email ppc@afgc.ca.

Stay safe on and off the range, and remember that eye and hearing protection are required while on the ranges.

Regards,
Russell Sorsdahl,
PPC Director
