The PPC club held its CPCA sanctioned March match on March 1st with 10 shooters on the line.  We had one shooter who is new to PPC and is an active IPSC shooter wanting to improve his accuracy in order to advance his IPSC scores. Weather during the match had sunny skies and comfortable temperatures, a welcome change from matches earlier in the year.

For years we have been of the opinion that participation in PPC, which concentrates on accuracy, at distances from 3 yards/meters up to 50 yards/meters, is a great way for IPSC, and other disciplines that use a combination of hit value and time to calculate score, to improve their results.  Speed is an important factor; however, the hit count/value improvement is the best way to obtain higher scores, which I believe is the ultimate goal.

We hope to see more speed/movement related shooters using PPC to improve their scores.  Equipment can be semi-auto or revolver capable of at least 6 rounds, holster, and at least 4 magazines or 3 speed loaders depending on the firearm used. Firearm calibers are from .35 to .45.

PPC holds matches the first Sunday of each month throughout the year.

Stay safe on and off the range, and remember that eye and hearing protection are required while on the ranges.
