The first Sunday in April was our regular training/practice match with 9 shooters and the range officer attending. The weather was decent with one competitor shooting his all-time high score in the revolver 1500 match. Training/practice matches will also be held on the first Sundays of June and July.
Our second nationally registered PPC match of the year will be held this Sunday, May 5th, and we are looking forward to good weather, Mother Nature willing, and the return of some of our fair weather shooters.
Members of CPCA (Canadian Police Combat Association) are welcome to compete in the registered matches during the year in order to have their scores submitted to CPCA for classifications.
The Canadian National PPC Championships are being held in Victoria October 11, 12 and 13 (Thanksgiving weekend) with several of our regular PPC shooters attending.
Club members are welcome to come out and observe or compete in our practice/training matches, as well as shooters from other clubs on a drop in basis. For information on participation, equipment and ammo requirements please contact me, or the PPC chief range officer/match director, Russell Sorsdahl.
Remember to stay safe on and off the range.
