Happy New Year and all the best for the upcoming year of 2010. Well, the holiday season is behind us and the days are getting longer so I guess spring is on its way—soon I hope! –but we still have to endure the winds howling at the range for a time. Congratulations to all brave members who have come out to shoot in the rain and the gale forced winds. Its a challenge for you to keep your targets standing erect. In the near future, we are having a new fire suppression and ventilation system installed in the kitchen in the clubhouse by Century Plumbing. The engineered drawings are being drafted up now and then we should have it installed in the spring. This is to adhere to the comments made by the fire department on their last yearly visit to our facilities. We, as a club, have purchased the security cameras and hardware which have been removed from the Olympic village and will be installing it at the range in the spring. How about getting involved with your club and having a say in what happens? We need volunteers for work bees and people to run for various positions on the executive at the Annual General Meeting elections on March 4, 2010 at 7:30pm. You can make a difference and lighten the load for those who are involved now. Its a great way to make new friends and acquaintances!!! Hope to see you at the general meetings on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30pm in the upstairs of the clubhouse. Watch your email for notifications of scheduled work bees and come out and meet new people.
