The PPC Club has had a good start to our 32nd consecutive year of monthly practice/training matches as well as major competitions. The number of competitors vary each month depending on personal commitments, scheduling and probably the most applicable factor, the weather.

For our April match, we will be reverting to Range 3 for the rest of the year. The matches are held on the first Sunday of each month, starting setup time of 10:00 AM with the finishing times varying between 2 and 3:30 PM, again depending on the number of participants and the courses of fire.

Courses of fire are from varying distance from 7 yards/meters to 50 yards/meters and shooting positions consisting of “off hand, sitting, kneeling, prone, left handed and right handed using a barricade. The normal match course of fire is 150 rounds for a total score possible of 1500 with a possible 150 x count. Both revolver and semi-auto firearms are used. General coaching and shooting tips for both new and experienced shooters are provided with the goal on improved accuracy and enjoyment.

All interested members are welcome to come and watch, if you are not sure what PPC is all about, or come out to participate, put some lead down range and have some fun.

If anyone has any questions on PPC shooting at the club, or in general both in Canada and the USA feel free to drop me an email rsorsdahl@shaw.ca.
