The club is running great with our caretakers doing an amazing job keeping it looking beautiful. The summer weather has been really hit and miss, with heaters still being needed the odd night, who would have thought?!!
We have had a significant number of rules infractions this summer, mostly new members, often ones that had just completed their safety course and orientation. We take our rules very seriously at AFGC, most especially eye protection and the number of guests you can have on the range. Eye protection MUST be worn on ALL ranges while shooting is happening, shooters and spectators both, MUST have them on. There is no wiggle room on this, if you don’t have them on, your day is over and Jack will be contacting you once notified of the infraction.
Same goes for guests, you’re allowed 3 guests per membership. A family membership is ONE membership, that means even if you have your entire family with you, you can have 3 guests total. Trying to argue that your 8yr old daughter has brought guests that she is going to be responsible for is not an argument you should try making.
Regarding guests, you must pay for your guests before you enter the range, no going in and setting up and then paying, no holding onto the envelopes until you’re done or anything like that. Before you take anything inside you must fill out the envelope put in the right amount of cash, and drop in the box.
Of course all the other rules are important too, but the above seem to be the ones most commonly broken recently. Failure to follow these rules can result in suspension and membership termination.
