Winter continues to play havoc with us, more rain brings more flooding, hopefully we won’t see any drastic levels hit our club again, and once we have power restored to our pumps, they should be able to keep up with normal water levels.

A bit of good news, the bridge should be open soon, the main span was lowered into place on the 11th and decking is being installed this week. Hopefully shortly after the bridge is finished we’ll see natural gas connected, and maybe Telus will finally run an upgraded service over the river. As well, crews have managed to get the water flowing down the creek bed again, and are working on restoring the back of range 2.

The club however will still be closed, and we ask that our members do not come into the facility. Our main clubhouse is undergoing extensive work right now, with Asbestos abatement being done in the flood damaged areas, due to the presence of asbestos in the drywall. We will need to have Hydro replace our meters in the far parking lot, and our electricians have a lot of work ahead of them, replacing all our electrical panels, testing out the lines and replacing anything that needs it.

We still cannot even guess a date for reopening at this time, and are working with our insurance company and restoration crew to get it done as quickly as we can, but it is going to be awhile yet.
