Well, we missed the deadline I had sitting in my head. I had hoped we’d be open by March 1st, sadly that date has passed, and we won’t be open for a bit yet. I know the ranges look ready to go, as our restoration crew, excavation crew and caretakers have done an excellent job of cleaning up and getting rid of the junk, however there is still a lot of work to do.
The electrical and security system both need to be finished and power restored to the ranges, as well as painting all the outdoor sheds buildings, before we can let people back on site to shoot. Range 2 and the indoor will be the last ranges to open however, due to Range 2 needing environmental permits to continue to remove the gravel from the brook, and range 1 (indoor) due to it being used to house all the stuff during abatement of the main building.
I’m hopeful we’ll be open soon, but there is still a lot of work to be done before it can happen, this includes the archery range as power hasn’t been restored there yet either, and the card swipe system also has to be replaced there too. But, progress is happening and things are picking up speed. So, please bear with us as we finish this final lap.

Was hoping we’d maybe get just a little time in on our range before Mr Fancy socks implements yet another “ emergency act,” and just launches straight into full on total confiscation mode. We all know Blair is working on it. I know our dues will be …due again soon. The last 3 years has been an unfortunate turn of events for the club. My wife is all over me for the cost/ usage ratio. We as Canadian firearms sporting enthusiasts are an hourglass I don’t believe will get another flip over. Good luck to the ppl working on restoring our club.
Thanks for the update Rob, appreciate it. I am now more optimistic that we will get to use the range soon’ish. Especially hopeful as the weather improves. I have been making ammo and running out of places to store it, so looking forward to being able to reduce the stockpile. Many thanks to the Board and caretakers in dealing with this awful unplanned event.
Thanks for the update, it is painful waiting a full month for an update. Hood to hear from you in 2 weeks. 😉
