Local Rivers:

Fraser River: tidal and non-tidal: Steelhead still producing; Cutthroat and Bulltrout as well as White fish. The system is low and fast and anchoring seems to be the challenge! The Sturgeon are quite active due to warmer waters.

Chilliwack/Vedder: still giving up hatchery Steelhead. The water is very low, look for fast water and angle with small baits, single eggs, shrimp roe sacks and for a change up spinners and spoons. They are paired up up now and nesting, where there is one there is usually two – be thorough!

Chehalis, Harrison and Alouette: reporting good numbers of releases.

Local Lakes:

Nothing going on yet.

Interior Lakes:

Slowed right down as the ice is almost off. Sulphurous, Deka, Timothy and Sheraton lakes still have ice. Get ready for the ice off and freshet! Please remember to renew your licenses by April 1st and be boat safe!
