September was a great month for Steel Challenge, we got to see some new faces and returns of old faces too! Remember anyone with a 22 pistol or rifle and pretty much any handgun, can come shoot steel with us. No holster or mag pouches needed. Shoot us an email if you have any [...]
We have had some great nights with 22 rifles, shotguns and some super fun stages. Great to see some new faces at Steel and hope to see many more! Cheers, Rob
Been a bit slow at Steel lately, the smoke and weather seems to keep people at home as well a lot of regulars traveling to big IPSC matches last month and again this month. We expect to get back up to normal numbers after labor day. If you’ve ever looked at starting competition shooting [...]
Steel has been running well, everyone is really enjoying the 8 provisional stages from SCA, only two will end up being picked to replace other stages by the end of the year, which is a shame as all 8 of them are excellent. Remember we shoot rain or shine and pretty much any pistol [...]
Great practices last month and this month so far too. We are really enjoying the new provisional stages from Steel Challenge. We are thinking about breaking out the Texas start next week and maybe some other falling plates too, just to change things up. So probably not 22 rimfire friendly, at least for score. [...]
We’ve had some great weather this past month and good turnouts to our nights, lots of bullets downrange and lots of ringing of steel. Tons of fun, and remember you don’t need much gear to shoot with us. Pretty much any pistol from 22 to 45 (no 44 mag though) is allowed, and you need [...]
We had a great end to the year with a big turnout of shooters on the 30th, and that continued with a great turnout on the 6th of January. Nice to see some new faces come out and learn how fun Steel is. As always new shooters are always welcome and we can walk you [...]
We have been a bit slow the last month due to rain and parties/dinners people are attending, but that is normal for this time of the year. Things usually pick up after the holidays so we will see people there!!!!! Rob
A few less people this last month, due to the weather being so, hmm, friendly. But we still had lots of fun, standing under cover, with heat, shooting steel! Come out and play, even in the rain and cold, we are dry and warm and blasting away. Any questions just email steelchallenge@afgc.ca Rob
Nights have been a bit slow while I was gone to South Africa for the IPSC World Shoot, but will be picking up again as we move into the fall season. Don’t forget we have heaters and spot lights and tons of fun to be had! See you on Tuesdays! Rob
Our nights have been filled with some great shooting and great discussions as we are a very social group of shooters. If you want to come out and try us out let us know. All you have is a 10/22 with factory iron sights? No problem! You have a 9mm pistol, but only 2 mags [...]
Range 3 has been working out great for us lately as it allows us to setup 2 stages a night, which makes things even more fun! Come and give us a try, rimfire rifle and pistol are welcome as well centerfire pistols of course. No holster or mag pouches needed, but minimum of 3 [...]
