Monday, August 1st there will be an act of civil disobedience at Island 22 in protest of Fisheries (DFO) and the Provincial Ministry of Environment and Recreational Anglers over the closure of Fraser River opening dates.
Fred Helmer has contacted both parties that: he will be leading an armada of fishermen on this date in protest.
As chair of the AFGC Fishing Sub-Club I endorse this action and hope that AFGC members will come out and support this movement.
Join us at Island 22 on Monday August 1st – starting at sunrise and onwards!
Numbers will support the defeat of unfounded recreational angling closure dates.
