The PPC Sub Club held its monthly training/practice match on the first Sunday of the month with a turnout of 11 shooters.

Two of the shooters shot their all-time best scores thanks to a bit of coaching over the last few months, and some dry firing at home as recommended.  Some of the hard core semi-auto shooters are adding revolvers to their firearm inventory and are finding that their revolver scores quickly exceeded their semi-auto results.  Their expansion into the revolver world has led to more shooting and more enjoyment of the sport.

We have had some interest from new members to the club who have come out to watch, pending the arrival of their firearms and equipment needed for this discipline.

Two of our members are travelling to the Hanford Washington nuclear site training facility range this weekend to compete in the NRA registered Washington State PPC Championships and the Northwest Regional PPC Championships.

We will be holding a CPCA registered match on the first Sunday of August which will allow their scores to be eligible for reclassification, if their scores have improved from the previous held classification.

We are also preparing for travelling to Victoria Fish & Game club range on the thanksgiving weekend to compete in the 40th Annual Vancouver Island Championships.  Our representation at the Island Championships is expected to be the largest ever from the mainland and our expectations for earning a record number of medals.

Keep safe out there on and off of the range.
