We are open! I cannot properly express my joy about being open, and gratitude to everyone who worked so hard to get to this point. We still have a lot of work to do before we are fully opened though. Range 2 still has a lot of work being done on it, but we are hoping in a couple weeks and it will be back in operation, although we’ll still need to close it down at some point to remove the gravel once we permits to do so. So, until we announce it’s open, please don’t go into Range 2 even if the door is open, it’s an active construction area.
With the re-opening of the club we have made one big change, you have to swipe to exit, every time you go in or out a range door, you need to use your card to exit. There is an emergency button, but as it states that is for emergency use only.
It is also important to note that our first aid and AED setups are still a ways off, so please bear that in mind when using the facility.
The trap club and main clubhouse are even further off from being completed, as we wait for drawings and then city approval.
Thanks for being patient with us as we cleaned, rebuilt and painted.
Rob
I don’t see anything in the new laws about swiping out, only that ranges must keep a daily record of people who use the range.
Thanks for all of the hard work you and the board have been doing. I was out on Sunday morning and enjoyed being able to shoot in the sunshine. It was nice to be able to chat and compare notes with fellow members. You don’t realize how much you miss the social aspects of a visit to the Range.
Also wondering if we had any plans for joining in with National range Day?
Yes, we will be supporting National Range Day. Unfortunately we won’t be able to do an Open House this year, but plan to support it in other ways.
