Winter is coming…

Actually it’s still here!!!

It’s great to see so many people out and enjoying the range this winter, our large family of shooters seem to be willing to shoot no matter the weather, and for the most part we haven’t had any problems, but we’ve had a couple.

I hate to harp on this, I really do, and I don’t want to sound tyrannical, but shotguns are not to be used on our backers, at all. If you need to test the spread of shot, or you want to stuff fly and get destroyed, you must bring it yourself, and clean it up afterwards. That means, NO, you can’t just grab a shot up backer and throw a target on it and blow it away.

Next, while we appreciate than many of our members have blogs and an online social media presence, that doesn’t give you permission to bring in news stations, with a full camera crew in tow, to shoot at the club and document it. At the very least, you must ask permission of the board to do this, and most likely, have a board member present during such activities. Our club is for members to use and to bring guests as well, if media exposure is going to happen the BOD needs to be involved.

On another note, we will be doing a few work bees prior to the AGM this year to get some new backers built, do some cleanup and possibly replace the backwall and sand on the indoor. Please watch this mail out and the website for more info on those work bees.

Thanks,
Robert Engh
