cadets

For 828 Hurricane South Delta Air Cadets we have done another intro shoot with 11 cadets on Feb 28 to help build our team for next season. Our Biathlon team did well with our eldest skier making the provincial competition. Lieutenant Tim Dyke has been attending meetings on our behalf and given some updates from several of the different cadet squadrons who also partake with the Biathlon sub club. Our actual usage of AFGC is low as this year the WOP opened early allowing proper biathlon practice. Lynn  Algra and Tim Dyke attended the National Competition to assist in helping the atheletes.

We had 5 cadets shoot DCRA postal shoot 22 and 10 do the air postal shoot. This weekend is the zone air rifle marksmanship competition for our air rifle team. We will plan one more 22 intro shoot in April at AFGC and then our marksmanship program will close until Sept. Tim will be at the meeting if anyone has questions.

We had cadets train at night from 907, 819, 767, and 861, along with the Biathlon Sub Club.
The cadets that trained there went to the Provincial Biathlon competition and on to the National Competition in Valcartier Quebec.

TeamBC did very well, and placed 2nd overall in Canada!
