21-22 May 2017, Chilliwack, BC

Hey folks! As promised we have gotten together with the BCRA to bring you an exciting weekend of shooting!

On May 21-22 (a Sunday and holiday Monday) Action Rifle League and the British Columbia Rifle Association are running a 2 day match on Vokes range in Chilliwack BC. This is the big 600m military range that is probably the nicest, most scenic range range in Canada! Its like shooting on a golf course!

May 21st (day 1) we will be running the crossover match. This match runs from 25m back to 300m. If shooters come with a 25m and 100m zero you will be good to go. At the 200 and 300m points you will be given time for 5 sighters before you get on score. We will be happy to help out with approximate comeups/hold offs for those distances and also the leads you need for movers. You will shoot a good variety of types of matches. Snaps, rapids Fire with movement AND LOTS, TONS, A S#!&LOAD OF MOVING TARGETS! All operated by your buddies. You will be shooting from a variety of positions. Standing, kneeling, sitting and prone. Obviously the farther away we get the MORE stable the positions get. At 300m everything is prone. You will be shooting at the same type of military targets we use for the CQB.

Not only will you be shooting but you will be in the butts operating targets! Yes you will be operating targets in a big cement bunker with rounds flying 4ft over your head! Sounds scary but its VERY VERY safe. You will be 100% protected! The butts is a great place to BS with your buddies while the shooting is going on.

May 22 (day 2) will be a BCRA service rifle match. This match runs from 100m to 500m. Yes you will be making good hits at 500m with your AR or other service oriented rifles!

As with the crossover match you will get 5 sighters at each distance to confirm your dope before you shoot for score so don’t worry if you don’t have data for those distances. Matches here take 4 forms. Deliberate slow fire, snaps, rapids and rundowns. Rundowns are a little different than the CQB match fire with movement as you will be moving with hot rifles on safe and firing at each distance with a time limit before your target disappears. Again you’ll be working the butts too.

Total round count for the weekend should be at about 300 rds of rifle. We will NOT be shooting any pistol this weekend so there is no need to bring them.

Cost for the entire weekend (both days of shooting) is a paltry $90. Included in that fee is your BCRA membership for the weekend (which you have to have to shoot on Vokes range). That breaks down to your BCRA membership/day card and $27.50 match fees per day of shooting! Can’t be beat! If you only want to shoot one day or the other it will be $50. Might as well shoot both!

The only other small issue is that you need to get a Vokes range STATT for both those days if you are shooting restricted firearms on Vokes Range, as it is a military range and not covered under your LTATT unfortunately. The firearms office can email it to you within a few days of calling them. Just let them know you are shooting a match at Vokes with the BCRA and it should be no problem.

I warn you all these types of matches are EXTREMELY addicting! Where else can you shoot moving targets at 200 and 300m?!

Hope to see you all on the line!!!
