June’s ATS day was a attended by 8 shooters- all had a good time. The weather was certainly deceptive; a reminder to stay hydrated, through this time of the year!

The Veritac SFTP 3 Course was well attended, with 14 shooters on the line. Course content and instructional goals were achieved. Friday nights ‘Stop the Bleed’ portion was especially relevant, and expands to include an intro to tactical medicine, when taken with a SFTP course.

July’s shoot is Sunday the 28th.

Range 3, 1030, for the regular shoot (set up and safety brief); RSVP, if you plan on attending. Standard round count, 250 rnds per platform (birdshot for the shotguns), $20 drop in fee.

For the Veritac Alumni of the MWOST or SFTP 3, if I get 2+ response from you, we will do some bluegun drills from 0830 to 0945, with live fire from 1000 to 1030. Note, if you are not there for the AM bluegun, you won’t shoot the live fire – no exceptions.

A gear note, no Serpa and Serpa style holsters are allowed. Holsters are expected to be model specific, hard moulded holsters without floppy retention straps, that do not collapse after the gun is drawn; no generic nylon holsters are permitted.

Shivworks ECQC course, 19-21 July.

This course is now full; I’ll be working with Craig to program an Edged Weapons Overview Course, for next training year. Wait out, for details..
