May’s regular ATS shoot as superseded by a paid training event, instructed by Veritac Solutions. Both the preceding weekend (17 shooters) as well as the vehicle portion on 27 May (12 shooters) ere well received, by all participants. The front end 4 hr medical component continues to be an “eye opener’’, for all involved.

The next CQB shoot of the season, is June 16th – actionrifleleague@gmail.com, to register, and for more information.

This month’s regular ATS shoot is Sunday, 24 June, and will be filmed for an upcoming episode on Wild TV; see below, for additional details:

The CCFR (Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights) has a new TV show premiering this October on Wild TV, nationwide. The show is called “The CCFR’s Canada Down Range” and is the first show ever in Canada focused exclusively on shooting sports. ATS will have a crew present from Canada Down Range (CDR) at our monthly event on June 24th. If you want to be on TV, show up ready to shoot. If you don’t, heads up on the situation. This is all very exciting and I look forward to a huge turnout!!

Range 3, 0930, for the regular shoot; RSVP, if you plan on attending. Standard round count, 250 rnds per platform (birdshot for the shotguns).

For the Veritac Alumni, if I get 2+ response from you, we will do some bluegun drills from 0830 to 0930, with some potential live fire at the end of the regular ATS day (probably 1400-1500, +/-). Note, if you are not there for the AM bluegun, you won’t shoot the live fire – no exceptions.

A gear change up; please note, unless a special exception is given, Serpa and Serpa style holsters are not allowed. Holsters are expected to be model specific, hard moulded holsters without floppy retention straps, that do not collapse after the gun is drawn; no generic nylon holsters are permitted.
