May has been a busy time for Abbotsford IPSC competitors with matches attended in Pitt Meadows, Trail and Victoria.

The first match of May at TMSA was a sanctioned Level 3 Match, which has not taken place in BC for many years. It also means that coveted President’s Medals were on the line for Division and Category winners.

For the hotly contested Production Division, Rob Engh, took the overall win and Medal, with Curtis Young coming in third overall at 82.4%. Other top finishers from Abbotsford were: Lee Corfe, 3rd A Class; Manny Dikaekos, 1st Master; and Allan Johanson, 3rd B; all in Production. As well, in the newest Production Optics Division, Brian Connors, IPSC Sub Club President, finished 3rd overall.

The Trail match also had some good Abbotsford finishes with Curtis Young taking the win for Production overall on both days. In Open Division, Kelly Abram and Murray Gardner finished 2nd and 3rd overall respectively on both days.

And finally over in Victoria, Rob Engh won Production Overall on both days.

Congratulations shooters!

We also had some Black Badge finishers compete in their first match, congratulations Michelle and Darcy Grenkow!

June is also looking to be very busy with matches scheduled for Kamloops and Fort St. John.

We continue to work with Skills and Drills setting up practice stages on Saturday nights to assist in training for upcoming matches. All IPSC shooters are welcome!

We are also hosting an IPSC movement class in September put on by 180 Firearms Training and Kita Busse a well-known shooter out of the US. The weekend class has already been filled but we are looking at adding a second class if there is enough interest.
