I am back, finally. I would like to thank all the members of the board for all their hard work this summer and Dave and Linda for their hard work as well. I would especially like to thank Mark Porter for stepping up and running the meetings while I was gone. The significant amount of travel was not something I was expecting when I ran for this position this year and I really appreciate everyone coming together to help run the club in my absence.

Of all the changes we’ve had at the club over the years, other than the addition of new ranges, the new flower beds across the front is the one I am most proud of. I have received emails, texts and voicemails from many club members as well as non members, including the city of Abbotsford, who all have thanked the club for doing this project. It seems to be something a lot of people enjoy seeing. I was amazed to finally see it in person and can hardly wait to see how it continues to grow and fill in.

I know the board experienced a challenge with the disciplining of a director and again I would like to thank everyone involved for their excellent work. That is a tough thing to have to do as volunteers.

We have new lights up, well 2 of them, and a 3rd on the way, once they are up and tuned, we’ll finally be able to open Range 2 until 10pm like the other ranges and finally erase that warning!

I look forward to seeing everyone who can make the meeting on the 8th and hearing how your summers have been.
