Well, we’ve had the inspection… and we are still waiting on the report and approval. As soon as that happens I will make sure to post it immediately.

We’ve had some incidents at the range lately and people need to do better. One of the fundamental rules is knowing where your bullets are going, if you don’t know you need to stop shooting and figure it out. It is unacceptable that someone would not only shoot someone else’s target, but actually completely wreck it.

Next, calling cease fires on the range, it is every member’s responsibility to ensure that everyone else on the line understands when a cease fire is going to be called. The acting RO MUST walk the entire shooting line and not just get confirmation from each shooter, but also ensure that firearms are in a safe condition. It is not acceptable to just look down the line and get a couple head nods from some of the shooters. The light must not turn Green until everyone responded to, and is ready for the ceasefire. This also applies when going Red, ensure everyone is ready for this, and that no one needs to run back out to the target for some reason.

See you at the range!
