September 2018 Fishing Report

LOCAL RIVERS

Fraser River: – (non-tidal) It has been open for Sockeye and Chinook since August 7th, will close September 3rd. 2 Sockeye is your daily limit and 4 Chinook – 1 over 50cm.

Vedder/Chilliwack: open for Coho. 4/per day limit 4 Chinook/day; 1 Chum – limit of 4

Chehalis: Open for Chinook Salmon and summer run Steelhead. 1 Spring over 62cm and 3 under. 1 Steelhead/day.

Harrison: Open for Sockeye and Chinook below Hwy 7 Bridge. 2 Sockeye and 4 Chinook – 1 over 50cm.

LOCAL LAKES

Jones Lake still producing Rainbow trout and large Cutthroat.

Harrison Lake, east and west, still giving up limits of fish!

Kawkawa Lake: producing Kokanee up to 40cm, use natural bait!

INTERIOR LAKES

High elevation lakes are fishing well but lower lakes are slow! Get ready for the Fraser Coho and Chum season, should be a great one this season!

Take a kid fishing this year! Be safe and water wise!!
