From the course providers:

Attend the ATS shoot on 24 September 2017. This is an opportunity to shake out your kit and weapons. Keep in mind that this is a CP or Protective Services-centric course, not your typical advanced tactical rifle or pistol course and as such there minimum requirements for proficiency for example:

  • Transition from primary to secondary
  • Draw and present from holster
  • Tac, admin, emergency reloads
  • Handgun – minimum 30 rds point-blank to 10m with a minimum of 15rds beyond 7m at IPSC or dimensional equivalent target (80%)
  • Patrol Rifle – minimum 20 rds point-blank to 45m at IPSC or dimensional equivalent target (80%)
  • Shotgun (optional) – minimum 5 rds point-blank to 25m at IPSC or dimensional equivalent target (80%)
  • Proficiency equivalent to skills required to pass the MWO course (loading, reloading and clearing procedures, malfunctions, transitions, shooting on the move, from cover, from barrier, and marksmanship that include proper sight picture, mechanical offset, rifle manipulation, safety, shooting stance, and body position. Low light)
     

As per the typical ATS day, bring 250 rnds per platform, pistol/ carbine/ shotgun; Sunday, 0930 set up and brief, range 3. Please RSVP, if you plan on attending.
