We had an awesome time with the shooters at the open house. Started with 4 positions, then had to go to 5 positions.

By ammo count, we had about 280+ shooters, varying in age from around 6 to over 60. I would like to thank our volunteers: Dave, Tim, J-P, Pieter, Curt and those that assisted later – Lacy, Jonathan, and others – for making this an awesome time. We had all shooting positions busy almost 100% of the time.

The Savage Rascals saw heavy usage with the young shooters – Would recommend that we purchase two more from the club firearms budget for use next year. Also, next year we will need to get two more re-settable targets as we plan to go to 6 shooting positions – too many line-ups.

Our volunteers were great – you could see the passion in their eyes helping the youth to learn to shoot. One volunteer said next year we should charge the volunteers to attend as he had so much fun.

Also, I would like to thank Hardy for the effort he put into this event to make Open House 2016 such a great event.
