This is a letter I never thought I would have to write, but uncertain times bring with them new experiences. As a result of the new mandates from the Province of British Columbia, under the Public Health Act, we are closing Abbotsford Fish and Game Club until further notice. This closure applies to all members, sub clubs and private events, effective at midnight, Tuesday, March 17th. This closure does not apply to our Law Enforcement Agency rentals at this time.

I am very sorry to have to make this announcement, but we must do everything we can to be responsible during this crisis. Please follow all recommendations for washing your hands, practicing social distancing and sanitary measures.
Out of an abundance of caution, the AFGC Board has also decided to postpone the Annual General Meeting, currently Thursday, March 19. The AGM will now postponed until the PHO is lifted and the Club is back in operation.

Dang, I was hoping to get out once more just to load test then stay home for the remainder of this pseudo lock down mass producing.
Understanding the group activities but a complete closure seems a bit excessive. Oh well, better safe than sorry I guess.

It is hard to hear this but it is probably the best thing to do. Hopefully this will soon be over but it sounds like this will go on for a while. I wish everyone the best and please help your neighbors and anyone who need some support. Stay strong in this difficult time.
The club is closed but the hardline May 1 date looms for membership fees. Surely there is something that could be done to extend this for members who want to stay but can’t afford it for another month or two? Lots of people out of work right now!
