March’s ATS attendance was down, as it corresponded with Thompson’s TacMatch shoot; a lot of the regulars use the ATS days for completion training, so it was no surprise. The smaller group made for the opportunity to conduct a bit move firing on the move than we would normally practice, so all was good.

The second CQB shoot of the season was well attended, with 58 shooters on the line. The weather was not bad; of course, the sun came out for the brass sweep only, at the end of the day- go figure. The new target backers worked well, with no delays due to failing backers or paper. A big’ thanks’ to Hunger Management, for feeding the troopies, and our sponsors, DS Tactical, Wanstall’s, CTCS, and Dummond Shooting, for the door prizes.

The next CQB match will be 10 June, after some potential mid- range CQB goodness out at Volkes Military Range, on 21 May.

May and June are active months for the BCRA, with a lot of mid to long range Service and Precision Rifle shooting goodness, towards the end of May, and through June. Check out the schedule and membership conditions, at http://www.bcrifle.org/

April’s regular ATS shoot is Sunday the 23rd , on Range 5 (tbc), due to a club IPSC shoot on that weekend. Pistol, carbine, shotgun, 250 rounds per platform (birdshot for the shotgun). 0930 setup and brief. Please RSVP, if you plan on attending.
